In 2019 CCCI was contracted by the IFC to help GAIA Inc. manage stakeholder relations and communicate effectively about the PPP project and how the project fits into the larger country context, (2) To increase awareness, improve knowledge, and garner support from stakeholders and (3) To assist GAIA Inc. to manage any issues that arise in the media or during stakeholder consultations.

Results

  • Increased awareness of the PPP among stakeholders

  • In 2019, 44% of the public indicated that a PPP for the GAIA was a good idea. In 2020, this improved significantly by 8 points to 52%.

  • The percentage of the sample in the neutral zone declined from 49% to 43%

  • Those thinking the PPP was a bad idea declined from 7% to 5%

  • In 2020, 60% of the sample were supportive of the PPP up from 57% in 2019
